Showroom makeover daily journal, days 15 & 16

Captain's Log; star date Friday 19th August

Strange phenomena at the moment, folks.  It really doesn't look like much is happening but these past two days have seen more coats of paint… if you look very, very hard, you should just notice a faint contrast in colours between the whiteness of the ceiling compared to the walls.  See it?  Do yah?  Do yah?  Do yah?

Our Head Honcho Flooring Guru put the poor builders back a bit when he changed his mind with the aesthetics of the wall sockets.  It's meant most have been upgraded to a classy brushed chrome look and nearly all of those have now been swapped over.  Can you see that long cable dangling from near enough the ceiling, next to the step ladders?  That's in preparation for our Sonos speaker.  And yes, before you ask, we do pay for our licences to play music in a public area.

Continuing the electrical theme, our building chums have also cut in three forgotten down-lighters.  One in the alcove/return behind the stair-well (to the right of the step ladders) and two in the stair-well itself.  Goodness only knows how we forget them but our builders have pulled a rabbit out of the hat by cutting them invisibly in despite us having gone past first fix stage.  Well done lads!  You are tigers…Grrrrrrrr.

See the nearly hung door, above and below?  Just a couple of weeks back we didn't even have an opening there, now look at us!  With squeaking pig in full effect and Marli showing enviable tongue dexterity, the more attentive amongst you will notice the down-lighters remain dangling from t'ceiling.  Don't panic, these are on next weeks agenda as our building contractors enter the final phase of their mission with us.

Showroom re-opening schedule changed and now on for 2nd week in September
