Captain's Log; star date Friday 5th August
How many flooring retailers do you see in Kent holding this level of stock, eh? "Does that make you cheaper?". You betcha, Mrs Trellis… we keep way more stock than the average High Street retailer. Stock not only means we can supply faster but it means we buy in bulk, we buy keener and are therefore capable of supplying to the consumer at cheaper prices. Look at all that stock… look at all that saving you can make when you buy from Flooring Megastore.
The dry liners achieved more yesterday than expected. Robert, Commander in Chief, budgeted for 1 and a half days worth of dry lining and thought the lads would need today to complete. They didn't. This meant the rest of the team were consigned to another job so let's hope they return Monday, eh?
But, as you can see, every nook and cranny has been dry lined and ready for the plasterers to do their thing next week. Monday sees the floor joists being strengthened with some bracing. See that chipboard on the floor? That'll be up and gone on Monday… if the lads come back, of course!
And now for something completely different:
Marli, the Flooring Guru's Border Collie, has always been a stalwart when it comes to correct body posture at the work station. We can't count the amount of times he has barked out his orders of "sit up straight and protect that back". So, with this in mind, Marli requested he demonstrates to the World just how you should sit when at the desk…
… simple, eh? Thanks for that, Marli.
