Captain's Log; star date Tuesday 2nd August
Firstly, Marli the Flooring Guru's Border Collie, is taking this photobombing way too seriously. Now look at him…Last night he went online and ordered a pooch-bandana. Arrived by 9am this morning, in time for him to preen himself for the close of business photo shoot. What's next, eh? Anyhow, online pooch-bandana service pretty amazing and very similar to us. We sometimes have to pinch ourselves and make sure we're not making our incredible service up. We really can ship mighty lumps of high quality branded flooring around the UK.
So then, what have we achieved today? Joe, the electrical wiz, wanted the majority of the showroom to himself today. Sounded a bit diva-ish to us but Commander in Chief Robert explained he actually did need space today… professionally… not because he was having a "moment". Down-lighter housing has been cut with most first fix wiring sorted too. Joe also came up with a cracker of an idea on how to make them look better so we'll let him off about being a diva and recognise that a true professional sometimes need a bit of space to think and create.
Ian the plumber joined us today and created a genuine benchmark in our history. We've been in our current warehouse since 2009 and in that time we've never had an outside tap. Can you believe it? Seriously… how have we coped without one? Up steps Ian who calmly rectified the embarrassing situation.
Phwoar, what a beauty! Way to go, Ian. We're dead proud of the outside tap. Do you know, we welled up when we turned it on for the first time, Talk about emotional.
Ian also removed and capped off three existing radiators in the old showroom and installed new coppers for a new floor to ceiling radiator - yet to be installed.
Showroom re-opening on schedule for 1st week in September
