When first launched, First Impression had a great story to tell. It was possibly the first new generation of polypropylene (pp) carpet. Polypropylene yarn offers solid value for money for the consumer. A man-made, oil based yarn, polypropylene offers resilience and something marketers love, which is the potential to bleach clean the carpet. Trouble was, pp yarn just didn't feel as soft and sumptuous as other yarns, such as polyamide and wool. But then, from out the darkness, stepped some clever bod with a new soft touch polypropylene yarn. We're not certain, but we think Victoria Carpets were the first to seize this new generation pp and produced First Impression.
