We all hope you and those close to you are safe and well.
At the moment there are a handful of Belgium and Dutch manufacturers producing and despatching flooring materials in to the UK. Currently no UK manufacturer is producing or shipping goods. This means the supply chain, at the moment, is running at an estimated 5 - 10% of what the UK flooring industry would normally expect.
Following the Prime Minister's announcement last night (Sunday 10th May 2020), it is probable more manufacturers will return to producing this week. We shall be establishing all major manufacturer's position during the week. Flooring remains designated as a "non essential" business, unless it is supplying to essential users, such as the NHS, care homes and so on. However, as the supply chain becomes more plentiful (which now appears imminent, ie., within the next 1-2 weeks) we expect to be in a position to re-open our warehouse and distribution operations in the coming week or so. We will be able to operate this part of our business whilst maintaining social distancing. We expect this to translate to us being able to shortly fulfil our customer orders placed pre-23rd March 2020 that have not yet been delivered. We shall be contacting those of you that fall into this category shortly, as we receive updates from the manufacturers. If you are trying to source a new flooring but have not yet placed an order we can still help and guide you.
We can offer our expert advice via many service channels, all giving you social distancing piece of mind. LiveChat, telephone, email and now our "Virtual Showroom" service can all be backed up with our dynamic sample service. All very convenient, all very safe.
Keep safe, keep well and stay positive!
